The early pick 4 ticket suggested in the pick 4 thoughts last Sunday night hit and paid nicely at just under $1000. Race 3 second choice McWherter scoring at 22/1 was key in the sequence. Edge Report subscriber MartyQuinn3 had it twice taking home almost 2 grand. The final leg was not without some drama. Winner O C Rhapsody floated out around the turn to fall behind 2 lengths before coming back on to get the win. Of course the inquiry sign went up and I thought they were taking her down. She stayed up and all was right in the world. I am in Reno this weekend. I will try to get Sunday’s report out in the morning but it could be later in the day so don’t panic if it’s not in your inbox at the normal time.
Race 1 - 1000 Yards Mdn 16.5k THREE YEARS OLD
7 Donnie the Chiro (8/5) debuted last July against maiden specials weights at Del Mar in a race in which he tossed his head at the start. He should break better second time out and be close early then pulling away late. 6 Uncle Juan (5/2) ran on the lead early in his first start then showed speed and gained the lead at the top of the stretch second time out, both at Golden Gate. Northern California speed does not always translate to Los Al at night but there’s not much to compete against here and this one will be dangerous if he can run on the front end with ease early on. Like the #1 horse 5 Tobacco Honey (4/1) has faced maiden specials weights and is trained by Craig Dollase. She’s a threat. 4 Mischievous Dylan (15/1) is a price that can move up quite a bit off his last start. He stumbled out of the gate and fell way back but closed in on the leaders as the race progressed. A solid break makes him a play on your exotic tickets.
