We have a 10 race card on tap tonight at Los Alamitos headlined by a full field of ten in the Denim N Diamonds Handicap. Kiss Thru Fire has won a Grade I and Grade II in her last two races. She goes for the trifecta in trying to get a Grade III in Saturday’s finally. I hope some subscribers nailed the late pick 4 last Sunday with the help of the Edge Report. It paid a nice $237 with the aid of second choice Query and top pick Fool This Kid winning in the sequence. Appolitical Pence was a single for me and didn’t disappoint in the finally getting off to his usual rocket start and leading every step of the way. Not only did we get him right in the top spot but had the next three pegged as well to hit the superfecta cold for $34.30. Nothing to get rich off of but anytime you can pick the top four in order in a ten horse field its a good thing.
Let’s take a look at tonight’s card.
Race 1 - 4½ Furlongs Clm 2500n2x FILLIES, MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UP
Miss Helen Back (4/1) dropped in class last out and showed much improvement. She raced three wide and trailed the front runner by a length at every call. She’ll get a better trip here. My Tigress (5/2) has trouble breaking with the field. She rushed up and never stopped two back. In her last she got caught behind horses. She will be tough if she gets out in good order. Project Logic (20/1) is a longshot who can have an impact. She was caught very wide all the way in a race that most of these entered come out of and only finished 2.5 lengths back. She gets the rail here so will be covering a lot less ground which should move her up. My Bella Chick (5/1) can settle in behind the leaders and pass those that are tiring late. Lucky Mary (7/2) broke her maiden last out in impressive fashion against the boys. The track was playing very fast on that night. Two Bills came back last weekend after posting a stellar win the same evening and ran over a second slower going 1000 yards. My Sis Cindy (3/1) breaks from post 8 so could be forced to race wide throughout.
