When Ed Burgart put out his handicap report each night when he was the Los Al announcer I would always take a look at it after handicapping the card myself. I wanted to see if he had insights that I may not have seen or had on a given horse or race. Many times he did and it would impact how I bet that nights card. I write The Edge Report with that in mind. I don’t want to replace the work that anyone puts in to their handicapping but aid in the effort which in turn may help them get that nice score. Subscriber @ChrisKirin just needed one horse he may not have used last Sunday night while taking down the late pick 4 to the tune of $2100.
“Hey Edge, made a donation today to honor your son. I added the 4 last night in race 8 because of the Edge Report. By only going 46 there I was able to hit the all button in the last race and got lucky when the 1 got clubbed and the 7 got up! Thanks again for some good insights!”
Great ticket by Chris. Way to go! Glad The Edge Report played a small part and honored by the donation to The Justin Simmons Foundation.
Quick reminder that I will not be putting out a report next weekend. I’ll be traveling to Idaho to be with family. I’ll pause all subscription plans so the week missed won’t count against it.
Here is tonight’s report.
Race 1 - 1000 Yards Clm 8000 THREE YEAR OLDS AND UP
2 No More Fireball (5/2) can benefit from a speed duel up front and I see one materializing. He broke through the gate prior to his last effort in which he did not have the final kick to get by 1 Justamitch (9/5). This horse is still putting together strong races at 12 years old. I see him having some company up front though in this one. 4 D K's Crown (6/1) ran 2nd three back versus similar and is always close when running for a tag. 5 Restless Rambler (3/1) is in off the claim by Adan Farias off a wire to wire win against easier. His presence should be felt early in this race but I would be surprised if he can hold on down the lane.
